The Month of Mercy

This year, the begging of the colourful month of the Georgian year comes alongside the start of the month of Mercy in the Islamic calendar. Ramadan is the ninth month in the Lunar Calendar, i.e. Islamic Calendar, and it holds between its nights' many blessings.
During this month, Muslims around the world celebrate fasting. It is an important season of the year because it is the only time during the year when Muslims come closer to spirituality. Moreover, amazing feelings arise every year during this blessed month, such as sympathy for the poor, the needy and the hungry around the world.
Also, for Muslim families, especially in the UAE, it is a great time to have family gatherings and catch up with old friends during Iftar or Suhur feasts.
Since Ramadan this year is in April, the weather in UAE will allow evening gatherings for Iftar and Suhur which Muslims and non-Muslims enjoy together.
What makes Ramadan special in UAE is the lovely traditions they have, and they preserved during this month. Ramadan for them is a 30-day festive, so they love to celebrate it well.
Therefore, Ramadan is considered among the high seasons for gold demand. Women would like to look at their finest during family and friends gatherings, so they wear their best gold sets.
However, Emirati women tend to go traditional during this time. So you will find women wearing Bu Shouk earrings, gold Mihyar over their heads, and the large gold necklaces that are known as Al-Satmi.
Also, people start to get ready for Eid Al Fitr, so gold shops in UAE get busier closer to the end of the holy month.
