Dubai Precious Metals Conference

For almost nine years, Dubai, being the city of gold and the new hub of the gold trade, has hosted the Dubai precious metals conference annually to discuss important issues to the global gold industry. This year’s conference will occur in November.
This year’s theme is “disruption in the precious metal industry- technology, regulations, and sustainability”. Current and globally important issues are discussed in terms of their effect on the gold industry and trade.
The conference will discuss three main panels, the future of precious metals, especially gold, the new changes globally and locally, and how the environment, society and governance affect the bottom line in the gold industry.
Dubai has a significant position in the gold and precious metals industry. It connects the production areas with the gold manufacturing areas in the most luxurious consuming region in the world. Its highly recognised facilities in trade and industry in general, and in the luxury and gold industry in particular, has eased the way for the Emirate of Dubai to become the city of gold and maybe the future hub of the gold industry.
With this conference that grabs the attention of retailers, traders, investors and consumers, the Gold industry in Dubai will flourish more.
The conference will introduce significant issues that affect many global industries, such as environmental, social, regulations changes. For example, the gold industry post-Covid-19 is not similar to the gold sector pre-Covid 19. The ecological issues deriving major risks have also brought awareness and forced companies to adopt new changes to be more efficient and environmentally friendly.
Due to certain regulations, gold mining, manufacturing and other parts of the gold supply chain will have to change to cope up with these changes and comply with eco-friendly needs.
Dubai precious metals conference will highlight major issues to enhance the gold industry, especially with a positive outlook in the coming years for the gold industry. During the pandemic, gold demand managed to stabilise itself. Even though many precious metals mining companies had to go under lockdown and a shortage of metals supplies occurred, the demand in buying gold and investment remained since it was the safest investment during the most challenging times.
