1. Afraid to look bold or different
It is a good thing in jewellery to try different ways every time. You may mix & match different colours, designs, and even metals together. For example, layering gold & silver bracelets will have a fresh new look. Also, trying on new bizarre pendants or earrings is stylish. You must go bold and try new things as long as you like them.
2. Avoid exposing your jewellery to hot water & detergents
Gold has a high resistance, but gold alloys are not quite the same. There are other metals used in your gold earrings or gold rings that may get affected while showering and wearing them. Or cleaning & using detergents while wearing your bracelet.
3. Storing your jewellery improperly
Many women ignore or may not be aware of the proper storing of jewellery. Jewellery boxes are the best way to store your jewellery because they are tailored and made to keep gold & diamond jewellery safe and away from dust, getting wet or getting scratched. Also, these jewellery boxes have designated places for each type to be stored properly. For example, there are specific places for each type separately, so you will not place necklaces alongside rings or earrings.
Besides jewellery boxes, you can use hooks or fabric memo boards to hang on your everyday jewellery.
4. Not clasping your necklace or bracelet
Bracelets & necklaces have clasps to close them. Unfortunately, some women ignore closing the clasp after taking off the necklace. This may cause your necklaces or bracelets to get tangled.
5. Improper cleaning of your jewellery
Whether you wear your jewellery occasionally or every day, it is subject to dirt, and dust and it will build up grime and tarnish. They may sound like little things, but they will be visible to others and will ruin their look.
Depending on the piece and your usage, you may plan a regular clean twice a year or so. You can soak your jewellery in warm water and rinse them softly. You may use a soft cloth or brush to do so.
