Face Piercing Types
Face piercing is common among men & women in many countries nowadays. However, it differs from one place to another or one person to another in which piercing type is preferred or which jewellery is used the most.
Without a doubt, the most popular and oldest piercing men have known is ear piercing. Since pre-historical times, men & women pierced their ears to wear different types of earrings and rings. The reason behind ear piercing was other from one nation to another, but it was mainly due to religious beliefs, rituals, spirituality, and fashion may have been the least.
Unlike now, to be fashionable or stylish, people wear earrings. But, of course, some other reasons are still there today, such as rebelling or wanting to be different.
There are different types of ear piercing depending on the place of the piercing. The earlobe piercing is most common, but besides this, there are helix, forward helix, industrial, upper lobe, tragus, daith, inner conch, outer conch, rook, etc... We can say that literary every place in the ear; there is a piercing type. Of course, different earrings can fit in other piercings.
Nose piercing
Nose piercing can be considered the second most popular among people. It is also not a new trend, as it was there thousands of years ago. Nose piercing was to indicate the transformation from childhood to adulthood for women in some Hindu cultures, or a wedding gift from the husband to his wife as a way to promise protection for her in some North African tribes. In contrast, it was a sort of protection from taking women as captives in some South Asian tribes. They believe nose rings will make women less attractive; thus, their enemies will not capture them.
Also, there are different types of nose piercing, such as a nostril, high nostril, vertical tip, bridge, nasallang, septril & septum. The last two nose piercing types work fine with small stud earrings or rings, whereas the rest can fit perfect with stud earrings only.
Other types of facial piercing include lips, eyebrows, chin, cheeks, and the upper side of the nose between the two eyes, which are referred to as the third eye. However, these are still not acceptable worldwide, and these are considered a way to rebel or show rejection of certain traditions in society. These are common among teenagers.
