How to Accessorize for an Interview

Job interviews are all about good impressions. It may be a bit harsh due to the fact the interviews may last a maximum of 20 minutes, and these are not good enough to prove how well you are. Therefore, a good appearance will assist in giving the impression you seek.

It is not only about wearing appropriate clothes that match the job you are applying for, but it is also what kind of jewellery you wear while being interviewed. A good jewellery fit is, without a doubt, a way to boost your confidence.

So how to make your jewellery appropriate and suitable for the job interviews? And how does the jewellery affect?

You need to look professional, poised, confident and suitable for the job, so choose your jewellery well. For example, if you would like to wear earrings, make them as simple as possible. Simple stud earrings will do perfectly.

When it comes to necklaces, never wear them on layers. Instead, wear a classical gold necklace. As for bracelets, the same as necklaces, don’t layer or stack them. Stay away from plastic bracelets or any cheap metals, and avoid the ones with charms that cause sounds.

The best option is wearing one ring, your simple wedding ring, or any gold ring. But, again, only one ring, and avoid stacking rings.

It is advisable to keep it always simple. If you would like to combine two items, you may go for a classic ring with simple stud earrings. If you are still unsure, you may stick to only one gold jewellery item. By the end of the day, you need to look professional, and you need to wear a piece that shows out the best of you, thus will enhance your self-confidence. It is not about showing how much gold jewellery you have.

However, avoiding wearing things to your interview may be more important than pointing out what should you wear.

There are a few things you need to avoid;

1. As we mentioned earlier, avoid too much jewellery. In this case, I.e. job interview, more than two jewellery items are much to wear.
2. Avoid cheap materials and jewellery. Remember, the point is to look professional.
3. Avoid any jewellery such as necklaces with pendants or charms that indicate a certain belief or religion.
4. Avoid wearing luxury items. An expensive diamond ring, pearl earrings or gold necklace may indicate that you are a show-off person, or a snob, or maybe you are not in need of this job.

So, basically think of what jewellery piece you have that makes you feel awesome, from a precious metal but not that lavish that works for special occasions only. It is like wearing jewellery for a normal working day, but with even less jewellery.
